It is not enough to limit your love to your own nation, to your own race, to your own group. You must respond with love even to those outside of it, respond with love to those who hate you. This concept enables people to live together not as nations, but as the human race.
The only right love has is the right to give itself.
Faith is not belief in spite of evidence but a life lived in scorn of the consequences.
We have come to dissociate belief from faith and we think of belief as a way of thinking when the original intent was not to describe a way of thinking but a way of acting.
I don’t think we have a right to bear witness to that which we do not experience. The incarnation is the announcement of the good news as fact.
