Activists in the transgender blogosphere have been up in arms over the exclusion of gender identity from the bill. Everybody is mad at HRC, the Human Rights Campaign, for supporting Barney Frank taking that part out. Frank claimed Americans weren't ready for it, that more education is needed. A lot of TG people feel betrayed by HRC and Frank.
